Kilynns K orientation was today. Her teacher seems nice, and Kilynn liked the classroom.
She already wants to ride the bus tomorrow, her first official day of school.
I had intended on taking her tomorrow, and letting her ride the bus next week. But I guess I'll let her tomorrow. I do plan on picking her up on Friday afternoons (her half day) because otherwise she'd be on the bus for atleast 45 minutes. Seems long, maybe as the year goes on, she'll want to ride it with friends, but for now I want to pick her up.

After we met her teacher and all that we walked back to our car.
In the parking lot I asked Kilynn to hold me hand. She said "I don't need to. I'm five ya know", as she walked with a strut.
I went on to let her know that she still had to hold my hand.
But I am glad she's feeling independant, I was so worried about how she'd do.
I know she hasn't actually gone to school yet, but I have a feeling that she'll handle it much better than I anticipated.
So, she'll go M and W full days, and half lunch and everything there. Fridays she'll go in the morning, and come home before lunch. I plan on packing her lunches, though she'll have the chance to eat a hot lunch when she'd like.
