worry

Last week, I was feeling Lucas' head, and felt three small bumps. Two right behind his ear, and one farther back on his head.
Now, they could have been there, but I doubt it. I would've felt them before.
Then I also felt one on the right side of the back of his head.
I blew it off at first, but then of course, I got online and looked it up.
Swollen-lymph glands.
Of course, it can be caused by many things....but the one thing that JUMPED into my eyesight was Lymphoma Leaukimia.
Now, we all know I worry! A lot.
So, of course, I took him in. Dr. said they are very small, and that I was right on top of things, and "sensitive" to feeling them. They are in his hard head, which makes them easier to feel.
He isn't sick, no infection that we know of. No scratches that I had had noticed, being infected or otherwise. No ear infection.

I find very little relating it to teething, I found one article relating it to possibly the MMR vaccine, which he got 2.5 weeks ago. But really, mostly it's infections of some sort, cat-scratch fever, or lymphoma.
So, he really didn't have a concrete answer for me.

I mentioned the lymphoma.
He said that Lukes bumps are really small..but if they enlarge, or he gets more, then of course, that's something they'd look at.

I was slightly reassured that Lucas is and will be fine.
But still, I can't help but worry!
I've checked the bumps every day since, no growth. I found that 4th one, but I think it had been there before.
Apparently they can take weeks to go away.

So, now we just wait and see. If they enlarge or he gets more, I take him in.
If not, I just hope they go away soon, so I can stop worrying about it.

It doesn't help that Luke has been pretty whiny lately. I'm not sure if it's because somethings bothering him, or if he's just whiny, and testing us.
He is cutting his eye teeth though, and his 4th molar came in less than 2 weeks ago.

Ah, I'm off to bed. Of course, I'll be checking on him once more.

Oh Kimberly! That is a worry. You're pretty sensitive like I am, then I send myself into a big tizzy wondering and imagining what it could be.

Keep us posted and he's in my prayers :)
